So since my church is small and doesn't have a young adult program, I was visiting different churches for their young adult bible studies. Someone from one of the churches I went to hosted a game night and I decided to go (since I noticed a friend from high school was also going). As soon as I walked in, I noticed Caleb, well more like I noticed Caleb's impeccable sitting posture. We exchanged only a couple glances and words here and there but knew we were both interested. After I left, as the impatient person that I am, I reached out to him to hang out that same night. We ended up getting boba, talking, laughing, and have been together ever since:) We realized we aligned so well in our values, morals, and love of God. Very happy I decided that day to do something that wasn't like me, which was meet new people on my own.

I had been attending a Christian young adults group in Northern Virginia for a while, and one of the members hosted a game night. I was cautiously optimistic about going because I liked board games but I didn't know who/how many people would show up, little did I know.... A few people entered and everyone got to know each other a little, then Shaymi showed up. Immediately her smile made me want to smile, we started talking as if no one else was in the room and hit it off. By the end of the night it was as if we we're best friends and I was eager to see her again. We got boba that night and talked for a long time, all our values, humor, life goals, and our relationship with God aligned. Since that day we have been inseparable.
